How can I participate?
The RCIA process is basically one of the witness and hospitality. The entire parish participates by welcoming into the Church those seeking initiation. Participating in the Sacred Liturgies and praying for those seeking to be a part of the Church is of the greatest importance.
Your active participation in the process by way of assisting one of the committees, agreeing to be a sponsor, working with the hospitatlity group, assisting with publicity, or in the presentation of a topic would be greatly appreciated.
The group meets once a week. It is not necessary that you be present for every meeting. Your participation as often as possible will demonstrate to those reaching for the faith that we are truly committed to our own Baptismal call to share in the priesthood of Christ by sharing and witnessing our Catholic faith.
If you know anyone who has expressed an interest in the Catholic faith, let that person know about the process and recommend to them that they attend these meetings. Better yet, come with them. All will be made most welcome, and with the grace of God, the process will be most beneficial to all.
